Summer Lovin' - The Rain

One of my favorite things about summer is the RAIN. Oh, how I LOVE the rain. I always love the rain, but in summer it's extra fun because you can go outside and play in it without freezing to death. We got a great rainstorm this last week. It really hit hard right as the kids and I were pulling into the garage after meeting Brandon for lunch. So naturally we ran out to play and got soaked in a matter of minutes. I, of course, pulled out my camera to capture the fun experience.

I was so busy taking pictures, that I didn't notice when the rain shifted and began pounding poor Nathaniel who, up until that point, had been fascinated watching the rain from the safety of the garage. I looked down to see him flailing and sputtering, helplessly strapped in his car seat. Poor little guy. The first few pictures in the collage are him safely enjoying the view, the last one is how soaked his poor face was after I saved him from the downpour.



Here's Mathew, who's favorite part of the rainstorm was getting to use the umbrella.



And finally McKenna. She had a lot of fun running around with our little next-door neighbor, Lily, who joined us in our rain dance.



I can hear thunder outside right now and I can only hope for another storm.
